When your knee hurts it’s a drag. Knee pain can keep you from doing activities you love to do. Hiking, running, dancing, playing tennis, walks on the beach, stairs, just keeping up with friends and family can be painful and difficult. Even simply sitting or driving can be aggravating. It’s hard to get around when you can’t trust your knee. All too often you hear the advice, “give up doing what you love”, or “we see some arthritis, you might as well get a knee replacement”, or”let’s cut out some of that bad meniscus”.
Surgery should only be a last resort. There are natural ways to help your knee heal, reduce the pain and get back to doing what you love to do. Understanding the mechanics of the knee and how it is connected to the rest of the body is key. At this Workshop we will talk about the factors contributing to knee pain. What are the parts of the body that set the stage for the knee to struggle, the mechanics involved, and how those parts can be addressed to help the knee.
Knee pain is like the tires on your car going bald. If your tires are bald you know the alignment is off. In order to fix your knee you need to address the alignment issue. Applying a chemical solution-changing your oil-is not going to fix your alignment. Injections and medications are applying a chemical solution to a mechanical problem–it is not going to fix your alignment issues.
Even if you get new tires–a surgery–if you don’t address and fix the underlying alignment issue then your new tires will go bald too. You need to fix your alignment. Come learn how to fix your alignment issues.
