Back pain sucks and often it occurs when you have a million things going on. At the end of the year everybody is in a time crunch. Your to-do list is a mile long, parties, obligations, extra house work for guests all before trying to take Your time off work means you are burning the candle at both ends and self-care takes a back seat. And that’s often when back pain strikes.
Back pain can be confusing, frustrating, and depressing. Often the traditional advice is, “Take these pills, take 2 weeks off and don’t bend, don’t twist”……(‘don’t heal’ – is the implied message). If that doesn’t work let’s get you an MRI and then surgery.
When your back hurts it is a signal that something in your body is out of balance. Some parts are too tight leading to extra strain on your back and some parts are not strong enough to support the system. These imbalances lead to back pain. Doesn’t it make more sense to re-balance your body instead of just cutting things out. Even if you do have back surgery, if you don’t address the imbalances that created the back pain in the first place you are likely to have more trouble in the future.
